What you can expect from this site

  • The “Travel Blog” will be used to document our own travels both domestically in the USA and internationally. We will also provide information geared for the “seasoned” traveler: destinations, activities, lifestyle choices, travel hacks, and other miscellaneous tidbits to aid senior travelers.
  • Review products and services useful for older travelers under “Reviews.” We will not usually offer recommendations; instead, our goal is to provide the pros and cons so that our readers can choose those that they feel best fit their needs and budget. There will be affiliate links to some products or services, and if you decide to purchase those items, we may receive a commission but at no additional cost to you.
  • If you have any questions or suggestions for future travels, you can reach out to us under “Contact.” Please allow 2-3 days for a response. We are often in places where we do not check email daily.

We are a sixty-plus couple (Mike & Mary) who met and married in 2021. We both have traveled extensively in the contiguous United States during the years we were raising our families. Upon retirement, we began exploring international destinations starting with Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico. This site began as a place to log our travel adventures for friends and family, but we’ve decided to repurpose this site for a wider audience. While researching travel destinations, we discovered many travel blogs that spotlighted the countries we were interested in exploring. However, most focus on the younger traveler and their interests and activities. Those sites were suitable for their entertainment value, and most were well-written and contained much good generalized information. However, they lacked the perspective of an older but still active person.
